About Seteney Kids

Seteney Kids is one of the established preschool education institutions in the area, operating in Levent for 13 years. The institution has been working at the same location for a long time and designs its program solely for the 2–5 age group.

An institution having operated in the same neighborhood for a long time also makes the questions one can ask during a school visit more concrete: topics such as the continuity of the teaching staff, how the program has changed over the years, and how family communication is structured can be asked and answered directly at an established institution.

13 Years of Educational Experience

With 13 years of preschool education experience, Seteney Kids is one of the established education institutions in Levent. The institution's accumulated educational experience over the years is supported by a program structure centered on children's developmental needs, ongoing communication with families, and an interdisciplinary educational approach.

Combining its 13-year institutional memory with current educational approaches, Seteney Kids continuously develops its preschool education program according to children's developmental needs.

The institution's way of working can be summarized under a few headings: the program is designed solely for the 2–5 age group, the Understanding by Design (UBD) approach is the basis of educational planning, English is a regular part of the program, and clinical psychologist support is provided within the institution. Within a working schedule of 07:30–18:30, full-day, half-day and summer school options are offered.

How Is UBD Applied at Seteney Kids?

In the Understanding by Design (UBD) approach, the weekly plan links targeted learning outcomes to purposeful activities that serve those outcomes. Seteney Kids' weekly learning plan titled "Transition from Summer to Autumn" (UBD Stage 3 – Learning Plan, September 21–25, 2026), prepared for the 3-year-old group for the 2026–2027 school year, is a concrete example of this.

For example, in the week themed "Transition from Summer to Autumn," children are planned to experience seasonal change not only through conversation but through movement, sensory exploration, art, block play, drama and nature work. The types of activities included throughout the week are as follows:

  • Thematic movement and finger plays
  • Free block play
  • Sensory games
  • Art workshops
  • Visual attention activities
  • Coding activities
  • Drama activities
  • Science and nature activities
  • Weekly review

Each day has a learning goal

In the plan, each day is tied to a specific learning goal. Monday: Exploring the natural features of autumn through creative play and art. Tuesday: Creating original works using autumn colors and natural materials. Wednesday: Noticing weather changes in autumn and sensory exploration with different materials. Thursday: Integrating the colors, textures and natural materials of autumn. Friday: Recalling and reinforcing the autumn features learned throughout the week through play.

Planned but Flexible Day

While daily and weekly plans offer teachers a shared educational framework, by the nature of the preschool period they can be applied flexibly according to children's interests, needs and developmental rhythms.

The program examples are taken from Seteney Kids' 2026–2027 educational materials. Last verified: October 2026.

Education and Expertise Team

The institution's education team includes a clinical psychologist in addition to teachers. Clinical psychologist support is provided in-house and works together with the education team to monitor children's developmental processes.

You can ask directly during a school visit about who carries out roles such as school management and educational coordination, and about the team's experience. Names or titles are not included on this page unless shared by the institution.

Communication with Families

The institution defines its ongoing communication with families as part of its educational approach. The presence of clinical psychologist support allows for communication between family and school on developmental matters to be grounded in expert opinion.

Details such as the channel used for daily updates, the frequency of parent meetings, and the format of developmental reports are additional topics that can be asked during a school visit.

About this page

This page offers an editorial summary about Seteney Kids Levent that may be useful to families during their research process. It is not an advertisement or a ranking; the institution's detailed profile and contact information are included in our school directory.

Parent Accounts

This is one parent's personal experience; its assessments of the school are not independently verified facts. Private details about children and third parties have been removed.

Our start at school was quite a difficult process. Honestly, this was a separation process not only for my child but for me as well. We had never been apart for this long before.

Seteney Kids really helped us a great deal through this process. Our orientation process was managed very well and very correctly. Looking back today, I think the difficult separation process we went through did not leave a negative mark on my child. Now when I drop her off at school, she can say "bye-bye" to me and run into her classroom. Seeing that is truly precious to me.

I am very grateful to the school administration and the teachers, who managed this long and difficult process for us with great patience.

Since I work in Levent, I can say I visited nearly all the schools in the area. In fact, I started researching schools when my daughter turned two, so in short, I toured schools for a year. So I can say I learned what I was looking for and what I did not want through this process.

The first thing that set Seteney apart from other schools for me was the physical layout of the school and the fact that the administration's area is in the middle of the classrooms. In most schools, the administration and principal's offices are very disconnected from the classrooms. At Seteney, however, the administrative staff and the classrooms are intertwined. The administrative staff is part of the school's daily flow and close to the classrooms; there are already 4 people in administrative staff alone.

They manage communication well. Communication is carried out regularly through the administration and the apps they use. In addition, we receive photos of our child during the day and can follow what she is doing at school.

Another important issue for me is discipline. While researching Seteney, I had already heard it was a disciplined school. In my own professional life too, I value having clear order and responsibilities. The place you entrust your child to should be one where everyone knows their role, operating within a certain system and order. As I said, I toured many schools. Seteney has discipline.

I would like to thank the entire Seteney team for making me feel safe while apart from my daughter, and for being a second home to my little one.
